Grado PS1000 - Overview
PS1000 is a new top of the line hybrid, aluminum / mahogany construction, headphone with new eight-conductor cable that is utilizing UHPLC (ultra-high purity, long crystal) copper. PS1000 is sporting Grado's drivers with vented, apparently more rigid than before, diaphragm and UHPLC copper voice coil wire.
Like all Grados starting with SR-60 they are made in the Brooklyn, NY USA. The shape of the housing with large circumaural earcups and bowl pads is similar to wooden GS1000.
