HiFiMan HE-5LE - Overview

HiFiMan HE-5LE are one of the newest developed orthodynamic headphones to be released in April 2010. These are the successor to HiFiMan HE-5 and according to the manufacturer address the following problems/issues:

1. More balanced sound signature: No more harsh treble on most headphone amps.

2. Lighter weight: Use for longer time and will not easily feel tired.

3. More reliable, no more cracking wood problem.

4. Better OFC cable with 4pin XLR (same to K1000) and XLR to 6.5mm converter.

The designs of this new generation of orthodynamics seem to be based, in part, on Fostex T50 design, altogether modified and improved especially comfort vise.
