Akai ASE-50 - Overview
ASE-50 is one of the know Akai orthodynamic headphones that looks similar in construction of the frame and drivers to Fostex T30 and T50.

General Description of the Sound
According to ericj ASE-50 sounds very strange in stock from. The midrange has a certain honky quality to it and overall sound signature is unappealing. As experience shows it is probably possible to modify these headphones to sound much better.
