SR-007 was top Stax Earspeakers model produced from 1997 until 2007. It was in part based on the developments and concepts introduced by original Stax SR-Omega (SR-Ω). There are two different versions of SR-007:

SR-007 - Brown leather/cable and champagne housing

SR-007BL - Black leather/cable and champagne housing

Technically and structurally the two versions are identical. The different color schemes were introduced for different markets. SR-007 was mostly sold in Japan and SR-007BL in USA and Europe.

General Description of the Sound

SR-007 is regarded as one of the best sounding headphones in existence. It is considered by many to be on the same level as Sennheiser HE90, Stax Omega, Sony MDR R10 and other top echelon headphones. According to multiple user descriptions, SR-007 has deep controlled bass, excellent high frequency extension, very high (yet natural) level of details and very realistic accurate three dimensional soundstage.
